My nephew is having a rough time right now. Just three weeks ago his closest friend committed suicide. Mackenzie's friend lived right behind him in base housing so they spent all their time together. Noah was 12 years old, diagnosed with depression and his day was deployed to Iraq. So they ended up recalling him here.
Noah told his mom that he wasn't feeling well. She had to run to a dentist appointment and was only gone for 45 minutes. When she came back he had hung himself in their bathroom.
Mac is coping ok...I saw him last weekend and he's just completely changed. He's more somber now than before...and to top it all off, my brother is being relocated to Ft. Walton Beach, FL around Dec 15th. So not only is he dealing with turning 12, losing his best friend to suicide, he's got to get ready to pack up and move again in two years. (Mac has spent all of his life in Abilene, TX so living in an Air Force Family is a culture change for him.)
I don't normally ask for this, but I'm asking for a 12 X 12 square in any pattern. Dark colors would be preferred...though any made with scrap yarn is good too. I was going to make him a Dragon Afghan as that's his favorite thing right now, but I ran out of time. Thank you in advance.

| That would be great. I haven't finished it yet. Been too busy trying to get his Christmas gift together. I'm hoping that I'll get it finished soon. My parents are going down there Christmas week so I have time. |

Please...with the holidays, I am no where near where I should be. Especially when my 2 yr old keeps running off with the squares I already have. So send as many as you like. I'm working on the Filet square for the center. The dragon is turning out so pretty.
