Crocheting a Shower Curtain? |

I am curious to know if any of you have crocheted a shower curtain out of Sugar 'n' Cream yarn? I have to replace ours, and I just want one that I can toss in the washer, etc. (allowing for shrinkage). Or, would it probably be too heavy for a shower pole? I don't mind thread, but I want something that will block the water. (Yes, I know I could stitch one up on the sewing machine.) But I kind of like the look of the cotton. Any tips or pointers would be appreciated.

| If you do crochet one you put a clear liner behind it next to the tub or shower to block the water. |

I would think that once it got wet it would be way too heavy.
My thinking would be to make it and hang it up on one of those springrod (the ones you don't have to put screws into the wall for) slightly in front of your shower then just use a clear liner for the actual shower curtain.
It's an interesting idea. I have a bathmat made out of sugar n cream because I love being able to throw it in the washer.
I wonder about using something like cottonease? It doesn't seem as heavy as SnC |
