Socks from the Toe Up. I have a pair (Mystery Socks) on the needles now, but I will be making some out of this book. Pretty socks here.
I already used the Sewn Bind-Off that they have in the book ( one of four)on Hubbies socks and it is nice and stretchy... I would never have thought that that you be a stretchy bind off..
They show how to do the Short row toe, Figure-eight toe, Easy toe, Turkish cast-on and even Judy's Magic Cast-on..
Basic socks, Lace socks, Textured scoks, Cable socks and sport weight socks..
I'm going to have alot of pretty socks.....

That is a nice book Miss Kitty, you sure are building a great
sock pattern collection.

I finally got all of my goodies yesterday to get started on the Mystery Sock Kal too.

I have ran accross the most interesting things looking up info on beading.
I found this on YouTube (leave it to YouTube, lol).
This girl has made her very own bead spinner and it looks much better
(and easier) than the store bought ones I have seen.

Take a look at this. I wish I knew what she had underneath the bowl

I have got to add this video down in the knitting forum.
Knitting with seed beads, it will help tremendiously in bead knit projects!!

All one would need is a rounded bowl like that and something to set it in
to spin it, and your big eye seed bead needle. You could work the beads
right onto your working yarn or thread, speedy fast!!!

Cool sock book! Since all I have done in socks is crccheted them, this would be an interesting book. Alot of knitted patterns start at the cuffs don't they?

Yep, but more and more are going from the toe-up.
I like the toe-up method because then you can make them higher if you want. That way you can judge how much yarn you have left..
They do have some pretty socks in this book..
When they started the toe-up method you could only do a after thought heel, but know they have the short rowand gusset heels to do..
I did Hubbies in the slip stitch gusset heel.
