Hi guys.  I was just wondering what you do to keep up with a long knitting pattern?  Like with the knitted dishclothes.  I mark the row out with a highlighter when I am done but that isn't good if its a repeat row.  Oh and how do you keep up with the row you are on if it is a repeat row?

Thanks for any tips you can share:)

I use a sticky note to place under the row instructions I am working.  When I have a repeat, for example, row 3 through 11, repeat row 2,  I write the row numbers on the sticky and check them off when I am done with that row.  That 's the only way I can keep up, but I imagine others have unique ways to keep up.  That just works for me.

Sticky notes. Or I put them in a plastic sleeve and use highlighter tape..
I do the highlighter tape on lace patterns or charts..

If I do the pattern at my desk, I have the pattern up on my computer
and I just highlight the row I am working on, and I also have a notepad that I will mark off the row with a check mark as it is completed.

If it's a print out or a pattern book, I just use a LARGE paper clip and my little notepad. I place the paper clip on the side of the page and I will slide the paper clip down pointing toward the row I'm in
and when I complete that row, I just check mark it off on my notepad when I complete that row.

I don't know if this is what you meant, but I write out the rows 1-? on a piece of paper (old school) and mark off each one.  Other than that I just really have to concentrate.

Yep, that's what I do. I just make marks Like this: 1111,
then the 1 cross mark for 5 rows done

YW    That's pretty much what I have learned so far,
after pulling out soooooo many rows   I kind of had to
do a little better at keeping up with the rows than I was
