I am slowly learning to knit. So since the knit stich is the only one I can make with any consistency(!) I found a pattern for an amulet bag to try. It only requires the knit stitch, so I thought ok, I'll try it. I started out with some teal beads and white thread, but ran out of beads,so I frogged that. I pulled some lavender Omega #10 thread out and using my bead stringer mixed two color beads, pink and lavender to try again.
Here is my progress. Pic is clickable.

Wow, so far!!
I like to play with beads, too. I used then when I did the Ice Queen Smoke Ring. My sofa ate a lot of them.
The sofa likes to eat my DPN's and Hooks and stitchmarkers etc..... |

| Thanks for the support! Yeah, the beads tend to try to get away! I had Dh looking all over the breakfast nook looking for beads that jumped out of the stringer container! LOL! |

Wow, that's looking good!
It's amazing how those little beads can get away from a person. . . |

| I am on row 84 now. It is slow going but is actually looking like I may be able to get to the top of the bag by the end of the week. Then it's on to the flap which requires decreases. So I will have to see a tutorial on that to make sure I understand what is required. I am just giddy with learning something new! |

| Thanks Miss Kitty, I did find a tutorial on YouTube! I finshed the bag, now am working on a strap. In the pic it shows a bigger bead for decoration on the tip of the flap. Just trying to figure out if I need to add something or not. I'll show a pic when I get the strap done. Then somebody can tell me what ya'll think about embellishments. |

OK here is the finished project, my second knitted item! This little bag was fun to make! Pics are clickable.
Now I have started a blue one from a different pattern. I think these are going to be addictive! |

| Thanks, I really like the way the beads feel when you rub them, very tactile and soothing. |
