| That looks awesome. How do you do that? Do you take just normal white yarn and dye it the color you want? Or is different than that? |

That looks great!
I've got a few skeins of wool/silk from KnitPicks in Bare that I'm going to try using the crockpot method one of these days. |

Here is a link for dying with koolaid.
I soak the wool in warm water, not hot. (you don't want it to felt)
I soak it for 3 or more hours. The longer you soak your yarn the better the color..
I line a casserole (2qt.) with plastic wrap. The red was mixed with 2 packs of koolaid and some red food coloring ( didn't have enough cherry koolaid for 8 oz of yarn..) 1/4 cup of vinegar then filled a 1 qt jar with water, Twice.
2qts. of liquid. Covered with plastic wrap nuke for 2 minutes, let rest for 2 minutes,( I like the squish the yarn in between the nukes.) nuke for 2 minutes. keep doing that untill the koolaid( water) is clear.
Let cool then rinse.. A must wear rubber(plastic gloves).
Let me know if you have any questions..
