OK all you maniac's.....my UFO's seem to be bigger than my yarn stash! That's just so wrong! There are just so many excellent patterns out there with so little time! I'm pledging right here and now to work steadily on my UFO's even while working on my holiday crocheting. The holiday's are rapidly approaching do you have all of your holiday crocheting finished? What about your regular UFO's? Can they somehow be salvaged by finishing them and turning them into gifts? C'mon everybody.....let's get these UFO's OUT so we make room for more yarn!!!! Maybe if we're good about clearing out those UFO's then will bring us a sleigh load of FIBER! Who's with me?

I even made a button for our blogs...to help us remember to Just say NO to UFO's! :smt081 Ya like?

Didja notice the hook I snuck in there?

Feel free to snag it but be sure to upload it to your own image hosting site. TY!

I'll drop by later on today to list my UFO's. No time right now...I've spent way too much time online today!

UFO's are my worst enemy!!!!!!!

I have so many that I can't even list them! I went through them with my mom when she was visiting. She was stunned. I just get so bored and there are so many good patterns out there. It's so frustrating though! My UFO's include all different crafts. So, here it goes. I've already been trying to bust 'em so why not play along!!

CROCHET
Caron Circle Jacket
Afghan for my aunt
Doily for a swap
63 square afghan- at the joining
Preemie Dress
Afghan for my niece
Thread Bear
Lilacs and Lace Afghan

KNIT
Sleeveless Mock Cable Shell
Basketweave Baby Blanket
Headband

FELT APPLIQUE
Stocking

CROSS STITCH
Americana Sampler
Tigger Bookmark

PAINT BY NUMBER
Thomas Kinkade Cottage

FOIL ART
Eiffel Tower

EMBROIDERY
Native American and Wolf

Oy Vay!!! Is that enough for ya? I'm sure I'm forgetting something!!!!

Ok....here are my UFO's....

This is all I can think of off the top of my head. I have not actually looked through my things to see what's there so there are probably a couple of things that I missed. Like I know I have a two doilies in progress as well. *sigh* Will it ever end?

Butterfly Shawl - This is supposed to be for me to wear at Christmas! I'm tellin' you...it's probably not gonna happen by then.

Noah's Ark Afghan - This is supposed to be for my son's bday or Chrismas present. Being that is birthday is this month I think I'll shoot for Christmas.

Family Circle Easy Crochet Poncho - This is for my daughter. I started this last year! It was supposed to be Stephanie's bday present for in Sept. 05! I'm such a bad momma.... I made this a priority to finish and started back up again. I'm almost there but I discovered that one of the colors I ordered did not come in! It's too late to complain now since I bought the yarn over a year ago. I'm gonna have to order Bernat Satin in Camel from JoAnn's tomorrow so I can get this done. As soon as it come in I'm on it!

Checkerboard Ghan - This is supposed to be a Christmas gift for my nephew for his birthday this month but I think I'm going to make it into a Christmas Gift instead.

[DONE! Pic on blog] All American Afghan (from Leisure Arts 'Our Best Afghans from A to Z') This is a Christmas gift for my other nephew. No pic on this one but I'm almost finished. The flag part is done and I have half the stars done. I started this afghan when I first started crocheting again back during the summer of 2004. I knew nothing of gauge back then and my gauge is off terribly on this one. I have to make it work somehow because I'm NOT gonna frog all that work!

Prayer Shawl I Andy that I would make him a prayer shawl and I haven't done it. It's started but straight hdc are just so boring! I think I'm going to give this one priority and just do it ASAP. I shouldn't take that long to do....I'm 1/4 of the way finished so far.

Sisterghan Project - A group I was in did a sisterghan swap. I have a gazillion 6 or 7in (can't remember) squares that I need to put together. I really don't want the ghan anymore. Mine is done in shades of blue and white and I'm going to finish it up with the lattice joining method used in the Dude's Monet Afghan. I have it by my bed and I'm working on a little each night before bed. I hope to have it done before Christmas because I'm going to give it to my MIL when she comes out Dec. 19th.

Baby Layette - I started this beautiful baby layette because it was too pretty to pass up! I don't have anyone in mind to give it to but I want to get it done and out.

Round Ripple - This is for an online friend who had her baby a few months ago. I feel bad that I didn't get it done in time to give it to her when the baby was born. I finished my other two round ripples but not hers. :(

Scrapped & Frogged Projects
I scrapped the Cathedral Window ghan before I even started it. I just can't face piecing that much together.

I also scrapped the 63 squares ghan.....I cannot get the gauge on the squares that are done in rows. It's just too aggrevating. I'm going to donate my measly 7 squares to charity.

Probably going to :kermit: the Fendi bag I was working on too.

Non-crocheted Projects - I have quilt squares to make one afghan. The next quilt square swap for the Five in a Row Vol. 2 is in progress now so I'll have 2 sets of sqaures wating for me by the time we move. I hope to sit down and complete both of them after we get settled in our new place.

I'm in! My list of UFOs isn't too bad, but I have a bunch of projects I really need to get started on very soon. I can't start them until I have some of these other projects out of the way, so I need to get movin'!

Here we go:
1. Grandmother's Flower Garden Afghan (Get a jump on Christmas CAL)

2. Sunrise/Sunset Afghan (also a CAL)

3. Scarf for Winter Scarf Swap - Done

4. Baby blanket for a friend (I have three more to make after this one, but I haven't started those yet.)

5. Project Linus blanket (this is really a full sized afghan because it's for a teenage boy)

6. Three scarves (also part of the Christmas CAL)

7. Purple block scarf for dd

The scarf I'm making for the swap should be finished tonight. I want to mail it off tomorrow, so I'll put the finishing touches on it after the kids are in bed. With that one off my list I will probably focus on the two afghans I'm giving as Christmas gifts (GFG and Sunrise/Sunset).

Wow...take a look at all our UFO's! Ack! We must do SOMETHING! Let's finish or FROG it ladies! :kermit:

Kari, did you get a chance to get a list of your UFO's yet?

Trish, did you get started on something yet?

Veronica, welcome aboard! I'm feeling like you. I must finish these before I start on anything else!

Ok...as I said in my 2nd post on this thread, I started working on my dd's poncho but found that somehow I don't have one of the colors. None of the other colors I have will do either. I still have not ordered the one color because I want to take advantage of free shipping so I need to sit down and figure out what yarn I need to make my dad's scarf. (I'm making him one of the scarves from Etaria's Rugged Mountain collection! I just love those!

I moved on to my nephew's All American Afghan. It's an American flag. (It's pretty cool....my dh want's one too!) I chose to do it with burgundy/aran/navy instead of the traditional red/white/blue. IMO it looks much better in those colors. I had 46 stars to make. I had 21 made (and edged in navy) from the last time I tried to get the project going again a few months ago. Well....I finally got ALL the stars made and I only have 16 left to edge in Navy! I put together one more stip of stars so I now have a whopping 2 strips out of 7! I'm hoping to have the stars edged by the end of the day and all sewn together before the end of the week. The I plan to edge the ghan this weekend. That will mean one Christmas present down!!!!

Anyone else have a chance to work on their UFO's over the weekend?

Well, I have finished my scarf for
the swap, and now I'm giving my
attention to the Project Linus 'ghan
and the baby blanket I've started. I
really need to have both of these
done by Saturday, so I'm pushing to
get them finished. After that I'll work
on the two afghans I'm giving as
Christmas gifts (GFG and Sunrise/Sunset).

I guess I should get busy...

Now that Christmas is over I'm trying
to devote myself to finishing up my
UFOs. Eventually I'd like to get to the
point where I only have one or two
projects going at any given time.

Anyone want to jump on the bandwagon
with me?

Here is my current list:
1. Grandmother's Flower Garden Afghan- Scrapped

2. Sunrise/Sunset Afghan (switched to
Skipping Stones Afghan) -Done

3. Scarf for Winter Scarf Swap - Done

4. Baby blanket for a friend - Done

5. Project Linus blanket (this is
really a full sized afghan because
it's for a teenage boy) - Done

6. Scarf for a friend - Done

7. Purple block scarf for dd - Scrapped

I'm thinking about frogging the gfg
afghan. I'm just not enjoying it. The
only thing that makes me want to
finish it is the fact that it would look
so cute in my daughters room.

Count me in on that one too. I have so many UFO's and I have them stashed all over the house. OK just in 4 different rooms that I can think of. But I had already decided to do something about that this year. I am even planning on getting them done so that I can have my christmas crocheting done well before christmas this year!!!! I'm hoping to do at least one a month.

I finally finished this ghan! I posted it over in show and tell here.

I'll have to look at my list of UFO's tomorrow to see what else I've finished up.

Anybody else get to checkmark anything else off their UFO list?
