| Gosh Kathy that was so nice of them to come to your house and all. I am jealous because you don't have any snow at your place. |

Well, I had to come in here and check just one more time
before I pull the plug on this old computer and call it quits.
They have our group "CrochetManiacsForCharity" article now
published
The Deputy and I made two trips out to his cruiser with blankies
There were some errors in the article,
but all in all, I think that our small town newspaper did a wonderful job
telling our groups story of sharing our talent with others
with our heartfelt handmade gifts.
Errors:
(1) LOL, I looked at the title and I think she meant to put
"A love of yarn" bless her heart.
(2) And when I bring home a bunch of yarn from the store, I feel like
a bank robber would after a big robbery. I have often had the urge
to just pile the floor full of yarn and roll in it, LOL!
(3) And there where she ask me how I learned to crochet, it should have read......
"taught me the chain stitch and the single crochet stitch"
(4) And it should have read..... we have a little over 240 members here at CrochetMania.
They also published links to our "CrochetManiaForum" and to my blog
"CrochtManiacs" so if there are others here locally that would like to
join us in making some heartfelt handmades for charity they can.
I hope our groups story will help us to find some here local that
would love to help in joining squares and doing borders with me.
This way we can do more ghans and maybe be able to donate to
others here twice a year
Thank you all so much for having some mighty big hearts,
you have truely made it a little nicer for a few battered Mother's
and their children this Christmas
Here is the link to the article
(I think that it only stays up for 24 hours, not sure though):

Hi and good morning to everyone.
Yes, I just had to plug this old computer back up
and post this for you to see

Darlene, hubby and I had a wonderful evening last night,
I made his fav meal. Would you believe, it's homemade soup

My youngest just got in from work and he brought home today's newspaper.
I made you some pics of the actual article as it was in the paper
I hope the page will not be to big, but I wanted it to be large enough
that you could be able to read it.
BRASS recieving them

Hudgins has found a way to indulge her love of yarn with another passion - helping others. She and more than a dozen women who are part of CrochetManiacsForCharity crocheted crib blankets, bottle warmers, toys, mittens and hats for the Barren River Area Safe Space, which helps domestic violence victims. The women who crocheted the items live in various states, including Texas and Washington, Hudgins said.
“These are ladies I met online,” she said. “People think that people on the Internet aren’t real. They are people with real hearts and real hands.”
BRASS assistant director Pam Hurt said the regional agency is excited about the donations.
“We can use them for a variety of things - Christmas presents, trinkets to help people get settled or start up a home,” she said. “These are the things we need to help people feel like they’re in a safe place.”
............
“Some send afghan squares. I join them and border them and get them completed,” she said. “Some send in completed afghans. We’ve been working on it for about a year.”
The group hopes to expand the project so that they can donate to organizations twice a year, Hudgins said.
The help of the online group was valuable, Hudgins said.
“They’ve done a wonderful job,” she said. “Without their help, most of this wouldn’t have been possible.”
— For more information or to contact Hudgins about participating in the group’s next crochet charity project, visit http://crochetmania.myfastforum.org/ or http://crochetmaniacs.blogspot.com/

You know what, that title is right after all. It is not A Love Of Yarn like I first thought she may have meant to write,
It is just perfect the way that she decided to title it for we are just that,
"A Yarn Of Love"
I am now officially unplugged
Have a wonderful weekend lady's & gents,
I will see you all again on monday,
the Good Lord willin and the creeks don't rise |
