I started this Pineapple Doily http://www.angelfire.com/folk/celtwich/LargePine.html
over two years ago! I started it out using the incorrect size of thread. I just didn't know enough at the time to realize how much difference the size would make. Now, of course, lesson learned and all that. This monster is 28 inches across with size 10 thread. It was supposed to be 18 inches across using a size 30 thread. I finally decided it was time to get it done. So here is the two year doily!

It is beautiful!! Aren't you glad it's finished? I have a BMC (Between Meals Centerpiece) that is over two years old and I don't think it will EVER be done.... Anyway great job!

Yeah, I was really glad to get the thing finished. I told DH I wasn't ever going to go through that again. He said Sure...Right.! |
