This is taken from the first swap
This year is going to be a little bit different. Instead of just color, if there is a certain free pattern found online that you would like to have as your square pattern, you can use that as well.
So, you can choose color and/or your pattern. For instance, I love the pattern 'Canadian Spring' on the Heartmade Blessings website. So I would say....
Lisa.... Canadian Spring ... any color combination would be fine.
Easy enough, right? So if you have a design you just love and would like to make an afghan out of it, post that pattern. If you don't care what pattern is used but have a color scheme you want, you can use that too.
I would love to have a whole bunch of people sign up for this. It doesn't take long to make a square, does it?
I'm running it for eight months with 2 squares a month because we had a lot of people drop out last year. This should work better. If, after 8 months you want to run another one for the second half of the year, we can sure do that too. We'll play it by 'hook', how's that?
So......sign ups begin.......NOW!! and will end Thursday, 1 May 2008....giving you lots of time to sign up...but do it soon so you won't forget.
So please PM me your information...including color scheme, pattern if you have one, and anything else you would like your partner to know.

I want to join this one too.
I know what colors, red and yellow, the brighter the better!
I'm plan to use them for an afghan for our high school booster club to sell or raffle off. I'll need to have it done in early September for football season though. |

| Just so I understand how this works -- we would crochet the design and color of square requested for EACH person who signed up, and then each of them would send what we requested? Thanks, T |

| Yes Teri, that's right. Or you can just pick a color, or just pick a pattern....whatever you like |

| I am thinking about doing the swap. I am mostly trying to decide on a square pattern. I have a favorite I have made many times and I love it. But it is classified on the designer's site as "challenging". I personally think it is fun to make once you get the hang of it, and it is beautiful. I just don't know if I can assume everyone will love making it as much as I do. I think it would look cool in a variety of solid colors in the same ghan. Let me know what you think: http://www.geocities.com/cdjsimon/tiltawhirl.html - I could choose another one but I want this one, LOL. Teri |

Is this directed to me? I haven't decided yet to do the square swap. I didn't get any feedback about my favorite square (as to whether anyone would find it too challenging) and I am also leaning against doing it at this point since I may not have the time, and I honestly already have a lot of ghans, LOL. And lastly, I'm a little gun-shy due to the continued non-response of my first swap partner on this group. I was really just thinking out loud. I still like the idea of a ghan of all different colors of my square, but I think I'll hold off for now. Teri |

4 is the number so far...not a bad start, just means we'll be able to round robin 3 times...that is of course...unless anyone else would like to pop in on this.
