I don't know if this is the same one, that you are talking about or not, but I just bought the one by Knitter's Magazine (the book is black with a red spine). My friend has it and swears by it and it really does have all the information you could probably ever need in it. I strongly recommend this one.

I've made a few things from both the SnB Handbook
and the SnB Nation.
I'll try to get some show & tell pics posted
but you can also go to my
photo album
and see them.

Both of the books have a great selection
of projects to make for all skill levels.
Be sure to go check the
errata page,
as there were quite a few
corrections after the first printing.

Well, I finally got to look at
the book! Yay! But, I'm not a knitter
so I'm not sure anything about it.
I actually went looking for
The Happy Hooker, lol!!

BUT, from what I hear about
what they do...I would suggest getting
it! (and you did like some of the patterns,
which is a great bonus!!!lol)

I almost bought it, and I don't knit.......
I just do the basic knit, lol!
One day I will expand on that though!

I do recall from another post that your
hubby bought a book home for you ......
I'm thinking it was the Happy Hooker,
but if it was the Handbook,
and I'm wrong disreguard the last post!

HAVE FUN!!!!!

I check S 'N B Nation out from our library so much that the librarian suggested I buy my own. lol I have a 24 year old son who wants me to knit the Joey Ramone doll for him. I have a couple of "to do" projects on my list that are in this book.
