Yippeee! I went shopping today, and guess what I found!? One of MY Leisure Arts books! Yay! I had 4 books published in 2006, and this is the first time I've seen one in a store. I was in Jo Ann Fabrics, looking at the crochet & knitting books, and lo and behold - there it was! I didn't even realize it was mine for a few seconds. I was so thrilled. I've seen them in lots of online stores, but this is the first one to appear in a store in my area. I took a picture of it with my cell phone, then sent it to my computer so I could send it to my family & friends. I hate to brag, but man am I excited! lol
Here's what the complete book looks like:
Of course, this one is knit - the first 3 books are crochet. Hopefully I'll find the other 3 soon, too!

Well...... I might just happen to have a picture of them.... hmmm.... let's see.... Yes, I do! What a coincidence.... hee hee Thanks for asking. I know Maggie Weldon carries them on her site www.maggiescrochet.com among others like Designs4you (a very talented graph maker btw), and Karp designs, etc... And Jodi has found the Dolly and Me Poncho book in her area.
You might notice on one of them, they spelled my name wrong. They were very apologetic - but heck I didn't care. I said "You can call me John Jacob Jingleheimerschmidt as long as you publish my designs!" lol |

Shelle,
I love your designs! Was it hard to get on with Leisure Arts? Do they pay well? Where did you sell your very first design to ,and when?
I am just now sending out some of my designs-too soon to hear back yet. I'd appreciate any design advice you can give me, like the easiest markets to break into.
