Squares 4 Survivors. I'm not family with inserting an url this way, so hope it works.
Come visit us.
Sandy[/url]
first try didn't work, so fingers crossed for 2nd try
NOPE, that didn't work either
here's the url http://groups.yahoo.com/group/squares4survivors/
can someone show me what goes in front and behind it, I've tried both, seemed I was duplicating or something?
ok, just doing a cut and paste of it, far easier than hitting the little button that says url and trying to add it... |

My charity that I do is making hats for the homeless. I had started this project in my area over a year ago. My dad named it for me and its now called Project Hotheads.
I have been doing this all by my self with no ones help so far. I made 150 hats last year in a two week period, this year was 250 hats that was passed out to the homeless.
I give these to our local social services, take to homeless shelters and even drive around town to where the homeless hang out at and pass the hats out.
Any one who would like to send hats, that would be wonderful. All sizes are needed.

WOW Cathey....thats a lot of hats in a short period of time! Congrats to you. Very worthwhile cause. I love the name. Your dad must be a character. I've been involved with hat a week over in the ville, though am woefully behind doing ghans for survivors. I too was using them for homeless. Had been seinding to a group in MD, and next batch to Pine Ridge. If I ever get caught up, I may ask for your ady to send some your way.
Keep stitching. |

| I make scarves from Threads of Compassion. They are a wonderful group, and there are several chapters across the U.S. |

i make little stuffed animals for the fire departments and police departments, they are used to comfort a little one during a hectic and stressful time. i have a lot to make this year as i am way behind. anyone who wants to do this could make their own and donate them to the local firemen or police men.they are all appreciated. sometimes its hard to say good bye to my critters, but heck is a great charity ibecause it helps kids, adn the nice thing is, all ya got to do is ask if they would like you to make some for the children.
god bless you for all of your compassion and caring. and well just because!!!! |

Just found this. I'm for sure going to donate to this charity...and soon.
It's call 'Snuggles for Shelters' and it's little rugs (14" - 24" squares) for
cats and dogs. Going to donate to my local shelter!!
