Ok, I've made my decision on the comfortghan for Marty & Susan Godfrey. I was hesitant to take this on but my heart just aches for this family and I feel like I need to do something!
For those of you who are interested in helping out with this comfortghan, this is what I need:
12 in. squares in your favorite pattern
Caron Simply Soft
shades of blue and white (since she had a boy....update here on the prayer thread I posted last week.)
I hope these colors are doable....if not, let me know and let's see what we can do. I was thinking we could add sage and soft green to the mix if necessary. I really want to use Caron Simply Soft because I want her comfortghan to be really soft and snuggly.
I am going to be making a custom tag to her from me so please feel free to attach a condolance tag to your square. I will leave it on the ghan for her to read.
I wasn't sure if/what we should do for her two living children. Maybe we could make them some little stuffies or something? I don't know what to do but I'd be willing to pass on whatever you are willing to make for Colt and Riley too.
When you are ready to send your square just PM me and I will give you my mailing address.

It was hard to see the picture of their little one.
But, thanks for the update on the other thread. I have some Simply Soft in a berry Blue. Will that work? |

TX CrochetLover: Sorry....I didn't see that you had posted! I think Berry Blue will do just fine! Thanks so much for your help!
Yarntails: Thank you so much for coming on board to help! I look forward to receiving your sqaures.
I'm headed to either WM or JoAnn's today to get some CSS so I can get started on my squares. |

Ok....now that this is my second time trying to post this....I'm not doing well in that department. :smt022 I just lost my entire post!
I just wanted to give those of you who are helping me out with this comfortghan a GREAT BIG OL' HUG!
This comfortghan is really coming together and I'm really excited about it because it's my first one!
TX CrochetLover 4
Yarntails Not sure how many you are doing. Just do what you can! No worries!
Kahud48 4
mythunderbird 4
GinaLaughed 4 (I can make more if needed...I'm on a roll!)
I have made 3 of my 4 squares. I just started the fourth one but got as far as the heart overlay and I had to stop.
Here are the links to the squares I chose. Remember, pick any 12" square pattern you like in your favorite color combos of blues and whites from Caron Simply Soft.
Dayna's I Love the V Stitch
Dayna's Lacy Sun
Panda's Pineapple Square
Panda's Heart of the USA Square
And if you still need to look for patterns here's our 'old faithful'.

Yes! I got your squares on Saturday! They are so lovely! Thank you! I came on to PM you about it and I got sidetracked PM'ing Kathy. I mentioned to her that I got your squares so I think in my mind I had come on to do what I had intended, when I didn't really do so. (Does that make any sense to you?)
Anyway, they are here, safe and sound. They are all edged and ready to be put together. I'm gonna wait a little long to put them together to see how all the squares are gonna look together.
I'm using The Crochet Dude's Monet afghan assembly. I think this ghan is going to look so soft, lacy and pretty! I will take a pic when I'm all done and share it with you. I'm hoping to have the squares put together and by the end of next week.
So far I have 8 squares with 6 more in the mail from Kathy. Vicky will be sending 4 squares and I didn't catch how many Yarntails said she would do. It looks like we have a good size ghan in the works ladies!
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

Good to know they arrived. Definitely want to see a pic, and
let us know how Drew's joining method works. |

Yooo Hooo, Sonia! I got your squares in the mail yesterday! They are beautiful!!!! Thanks so much for for your help in this!
Ok Ladies... I now have 16 squares! I've been edging the squares as they come in and I'm now getting ready to put them all together. I waited to put them together since we were dealing with different color blues. I didn't want all the same blues all bunched up together. Now I can figure out a color placement for an array of blues! :) You are all angels for helping on this project! I could kiss you all!
