This weekend I was knitting along happily on a sock for my son when I noticed a purl stitch was missing. I thought I could maybe fix it, but no... So I ripped it all out. I didn't want to even try working on it again so I started some hotpads with a ball of scrap yarn I had been saving up for a while (magic ball-- scrap yarns all tied together). I did one, then decided to do another one with what was left. I didn't have quite enough to finish it, but I had about three balls of scrap yarn in my purse for yo-yos that I used to finish it up.
I used the 'Double-thick Diagonally Crocheted Potholder' pattern at Mielke's Farm, from crochet pattern central. This is the page for the potholders/hotpads:
http://crochetpatterncentral.com/directory/potholders_etc.php The link hasn't worked for me for some time, but maybe it's just my computer? It's my favorite hotpad to crochet. I chained 36 for these, but I think I would chain 46 next time for a good size hotpad. Thanks for looking.
Tina

I know, I hate that too.
I don't know what I was thinking. I was going to put in the direct link (although I still haven't figured out how to put a link in at this board), but my pea brain just does it's own thing sometimes... |

| Hey Tina, those are really fun looking! Sometimes scarps get you the most interesting results! I like! |
