It's a cross between a Shawl and a Sweater - a Shawler! It's as warm as a coat, but not as confining. It stays in place perfectly and is so comfy and cozy.
The pattern is written as One Size Fits Most, but it could be adjusted by adding or subtracting rows. I used 6 skeins of Lion Brand Homespun in the color Quartz. Any yarn will do though. I think it would look gorgeous in Noro Silk Garden!
I put it in my Etsy store and sold 9 copies in one day! I'm so excited - I think this will be a popular design. It's EASY, too! I'd say the skill level would be Advanced beginner. It's all double crochet and single crochet. There are a couple of decreases in the hood. Other than that, it's pretty basic. Of course I'm always available to answer questions.
Let me know what ya'll think!

I love it and can't wait to try my hand at one.
Now, I get to go yarn shopping again! |

| I love this...also waiting payday. After going to your site, I love the navajo looking button up poncho! Is that very hard to accomplish? I would say I'm advanced, but not terribly! What do you think the level would be for that? |

The Shawler is quite easy really. It's mainly dc, with sc ribbed cuffs. I'd say it's Advanced Beginner. There's a CAL going on at Crochetville, if you want to see what others are saying and see some of their Shawlers. It's fun to see them in different yarns.
Sue, the Button-up Poncho that looks like an Indian blanket is very easy. It's 2 rows of a solid color, then 1 row variegated, then 2 rows of the same solid. Then you do a different color scheme. I just used reg. ww acrylic yarn. |
