Well summer is here.. (It's a 100 down here, so to me summer Is here.)
So what is everybody doing.. Working on some of their WIP's I hope.
Me- Not been felling well and haven't really picked up a hook or needle this week so far..I Still have the usual-
Bat shawl
Doily
Baby Sock and Hats
Little Care Dolls.
And Big D's blanket
Oh yea, I joined in on the Knittin' Safari Sock Knit-Along I have the Electric Blue yarn.
I have the pattern and the yarn, But can't start til July.
I like your frog! Hope you feel better really soon!
I've been doing research this morning about my treadle sewing machine. I've decided it's high time I learn to sew.
Anyone here use a treadle machine?
I wanted one like my grandmother had, and this one came along, a couple of years ago. A White Family Rotary.
I want to do some things with my mother, and she's such an ace with needles, sewing, and such. We've got a plan so that I can learn the basics.

Nothing on hook or needles I am sad to say.
I just haven't felt up to it this past couple of weeks. I am looking forward to starting a baby blanket soon, maybe by next wednesday
Kathy hope you are feeling much better. Miss Kitty hope your feeling better, also. I have crocheted very little.Picked up a virus I guess. I feel much better today. Still spending time in the bathroom. I found a sock pattern and decided to try it because I felt to bad for anything else. I crocheted a sock. It took me all day. It turned out nice. It is a pedicure sock. Now, I need to make the other. Maybe next week. It is soooo hot here and humid to boot. Take care all. Hope everyone gets to feeling better.

Thanks Maxine,
I hope you get to feeling better soon too.
This stuff must be going around. I don't remember getting stuff like this in the summer back when I was a kid.
It's all you hear nowadays is where someone is always getting sick every summer.
I have just been working on my pansy doily for the doily CAL. And a potholder.
I hope everyone starts feeling better soon.
What is a Little Care Doll, Miss Kitty?
I get so frustrated trying to sew, so sorry; I am of no help, Serena. I hope you do well with yours, though.

Thanks everyone! Kathy and Miss Kitty hope you are feeling better. I personally think It's the heat. I don't handle it well.

The only thing I am working on is the doily for the CAL/KAL. I'm in a dilemna about what to work on next. I am thinking I will do a beaded knitted fish bag pattern I bought at the DFW Fiberfest. Not for any reason, just to do it!
I have some Sinfonia I was looking to make a top out of and didn't have enough. Went to HL to see if by chance I could match the dye lot. They didn't have ANY of the cream that I had. So, then I found a filet crochet top. It used size 10 thread and I have plenty of that, so I may just tackle that. It will take a little while to do, but filet is easy just time consuming. That is my plan for now anyhow!

Still feel like a Zombie, but getting better..
I used to sew with my grandmothers treadle machine. Don't out your finger in front of the footer. They do not stop on a dime.
Kahud48 and anoramaxsis- hope you two are feeling better..

See told you I'm a Zombie. They are Comfort Dolls. Like these.. Instead of having a seam I use a provisional cast on and 2 circ. needles. I stuff before I close the hat. Mindless knitting.
Can I ask something about esty- Can you have a pattern for sale ($6.00) for a pattern that you can get free?
Hope you are feeling better Kathy and Miss Kitty. I have never delt with etsy. I have thought of ordering stuff. Is there always a problem? Serena thank you for the well wishes. Have not crocheted. Went to work yesterday. I feel better, just feel tired.

I just had found a pattern that someone was selling that looked like the same pattern that was free at a chairty site..
Doesn't happen very often..
Ebay- I have seen people selling those little tear-off sheets patterns that you can get at Hobby Lobby or places like that..
