This is from 'Mad About Scraps', a book from Annie's Attic. I made it in acrylic. I usually like to use cotton for hot pads, but hey... (My husbands' Late Great Aunt always used acrylic and hers never melted...) I didn't have any 1" plastic rings (for the hanging ring), but then a couple days later I was looking through my 2009 CPAD calendar and saw an idea to use the plastic rings from 2 liter pop bottles (someone made a garland with them) So I have been saving rings from the bottles ever since. Way to recycle! How cool is that?

I hope to make more hot pads I am on a hot pad kick lately (quick, cute project to make for gifts!)
