63 Square Heirloom Afghan

I used Red Heart Soft White and
Frosty Green and Simply Soft
Victorian Rose. Size H hook for
all of the squares. Pattern is from
Leisure Arts leaflet 555 --- 63 Easy To
Crochet Pattern Stitches Combine
To Make An Heirloom Afghan.
Started May 25 finished June 14, 2006.

I've had the pattern book in my
collection for years and it finally
took the crochet-along over at
the 'ville to get me motivated.

WOW! That is really nice. :gg2: What a lot of work.
I've thought about doing one too, but just have too
many other projects to work on. Maybe some day
I'll get around to it.

WOW, you work quickly!!! I've been working on mine for a LONG LONG time. I jsut finished up the last square the other day and have started to slip stitch the squares together. Hopefully I'll have a finished afghan soon and I'll share when done!!!

My colors?
Caron Perfect Match - Lt. Blue
RH - white
Simply Soft - Orchid

Thanks for the compliment!
It took me years to
finally open the pattern book
but once I got started
it was easy to keep going.

The motivation of seeing all
of the finished ones in the crochet-
along really inspired me to
finish.

I love the colors that you've chosen.
If this pattern didn't have so many
clusters, popcorns and puffs, I would
consider making another one.

I'm giving the afghan to my daughter
and now I'm searching for another
afghan pattern to make for my two sons.

Your afghan is gorgeous! You're making me want to dig out my copy of this afghan and give it a go.

I've only recently discovered that squares are no longer my nemesis  I've made back & forth afghans for as long as I can remember, because I despised joining. Now, I enjoy the portability of squares - plus, I don't have to lug a 10 lb afghan with me any longer .

Beautiful job on this. I'm sure your daughter will be thrilled to receive this. I know I would be if I was getting it!

Beautiful!!!
I have that pattern on the top shelf in my craft room...
Hey, At least I do know where it's at......
You did a great job on it..

Very pretty! I've wanted to make that afghan
for awhile, but other projects keep poping up.
Maybe in the fall...

Very pretty! I started on that afghan but never finished it. I use the book ALL the time just for the pattern stitches though!
Great job!!

Beautiful afghan. I too have had this book for many years and just haven't had the motivation to make it. After seeing yours though my attitude is changing. Might have to start this one this fall.
