A Fulled bag and coin purse
No pattern, just a round bag will add drawstrings after blocking.
Made with yarn I spun myself.

That is a cool bag. The spinning, how long did it take you
to learn that? This is a process that is definitely a lost art.
I am hoping you may help us learn more about it!

Thanks Y'all!
Here's the bag with drawstring finished. The coin purse will have to wait as I believe I packed up all my buttons when we thought we were moving right away.
I learned how to spin by going to yarn school (http://harveyvilleproject.com/yarnschool/index.html) Which totally rocked. We learned how to dye and learned the process of making yarn from beginning (even a tour to an alpaca farm) to finish (cleaning, carding, spinning and dyeing)
Of course you CAN learn how to do all those things on your own or even in other classes I just had the op to do this and of course jumped on the chance.
I got my wheel (Calamity Jane, she's a Ashford Joy) from Copper Moose on ebay. Spinning, I have learned is more a hands on thing, you can read and see everything you want on the matter but until you get your hands on and start you wont learned anything. It was nice though to know that some of the women there had only been spinning for a year and making great yarns, and others, like me were just beginning.
My yarns may not be much now but I am practising and learning all the time and am so much in love with the process already.
