I got an email from Viqui this morning that they were back early from their vacation.

Here is the email:

Got home at 2:00am this morning.

Last Monday Lauren was driving one of the four wheelers, (ATV) and was in a roll over accident with my 13 year old granddaughter on the back.

She broke her back in three places and is in a full back brace. The road rash on her back is so deep that fatty tissue was coming through. She can walk and use her arms with a great deal of pain. Thank God she had on a helmet or they said she would have not survived the crash.

Of course I am a wreck. We are home to take Lauren to an Orthopedic Surgeon, to see if she needs to have surgery. They could not get her in any sooner, so we let her rest and traveled late at night so she was sleeping.

My granddaughter got a few scratches and abrasions, but is okay

I am scared beyond anything that I have ever feared.

Her daughter just graduated from high school in May and is 18 years old.

Her father just had a heart attack in June and had a pacemaker put in. Her sister was at her home for almost 2 weeks after leaving her husband, so Viqui helped her through that time as well.

How much can one person take??
Please say a prayer for her.......she needs our support.

Oh Lisa, It is just not right that Viqui has sooo much,
and then some coming to her plate this year. One person
can not, and should not go through such as this alone
without family and freinds to be there for them.

I want you to know Viqui that I am keeping you in my
thoughts and at the forefront of my prayers right now,
and that she recovers fully without any ill effects from her
back................to be so much back to normal as she can,
a back injury can be a lifetime of pain, and I so hope that
she does not have to go through such, and that she heals
fully

Thank you for letting us know Lisa, Viqui does need a tremendous
lift and a big warm hug about now for sure with lots of
good thoughs and warm wishes to go along with it.
