Baby Afghan

Well, I'm back to working with yarn since the season
has changed. I am making a baby blanket for my
DH coworker. It is a light blue, using Bernat Baby
Coordinates. The pattern I am using is one I have made
several times in different colors and yarns called
Bubbles for Baby from Leisure Arts Afghans for All Seasons.
I like it cause once I have the second row done, I don't
have to count or look at the pattern anymore! LOL!

But, after doing thread stuff for several months, the
project seems to take so long! Whining, sorry.

Anyhoo, that is what I am doing this week and I need to
get busy on the squirrel wall hanging for my son in thread
filet. I also have some scarves and hats to make for Christmas
for my PA relatives. I better get hooking!

I got a phone call from a friend last night saying that her daughter, who is not due until Dec. 1st, went into labor yesterday. She's on complete bed rest now. I have a filet afghan that I've started, but set aside because I thought I had more time. Now I need to get it out again and get busy on it.

She just can't have her baby boy yet! I'm not ready!

It always seems like yarn projects take longer after working with thread for awhile. I try to work on both so the thread proujects kinda break up my larger yarn projects.

I don't know...the thread projects I have done (for Lullabies and Lace) took a really long time, but what do you expect with size 10 thread and an 18 month dress and size 3 thread and a 24 month dress. Both had bloomers to match and one had a hat! So I think yarn goes a lot quicker now.

Melanie, I am not that ambitious with thread, just doilies
and some filet! I figure those Lullaby and Lace patterns
are very intricate, so I can see your point! Kari, I have an
idea I should have done what you do, but I got a lot done
yesterday. I bought some Lion wool yesterday at HL
since they had it on sale. So, now, I really can't
wait to hurry up and finish the blanket so I can do the scarves
and hats! Jodi, just tell that baby to hold on for a little bit! LOL!
