I bet they are nice though, except for the back being open. To me they would tend to be drafty

I guess the concept is your back is against the chair back or couch cushions so that part would be warm already! I like the idea though.

I got one of those Snuggle blankets and I can wrap myself in it..

I don't know, I just can't invision it being warm wrapped from the front to the back. I might try making one of these.
I guess you could just put it on backwards

I knew sooner or later someone would come up with a crochet (or knitted) version of the Snuggie. (It would take forever to make one).
