City Life/Country LifeI whipped up this poll so we can see who lives in what type of environment! I thought it might be a fun thing to talk about with summer upon us. So, let us know what you like about city life vs country life vs suburbs vs wherever else!

I live in the burbs. We have music and a movie in the park once a month and one of our burbs pool has movies. So you get to float in the pool and watch a movie..

TXCL, you didn't say about yours???? I know you're getting a new patio, so it can't be in a high-rise neighborhood.
Miss Kitty, what a life, floating in the pool and watching a film....
I live in the way-outside suburbs. I was hoping it would be more country-like, but it's noisier than where I was before in the close-in suburbs.
I like the convenience of things in town, handy shopping, cultural events, libraries, museums places to eat. The air, the space and quiet out in the country are so appealing.
The dream of living way off in the country is there, with me, every day.....

I live in the suburbs. Out town is growing, we are at about 80,000 now. I like it here, being clcose to everything I need- yarn, books, groceries, schools, doctors. But we have the choice to go into the bigger cities if something is going on we don't have here. I have lived in the country, I loved the quiet, I hated the time it took to get to town for even the simpliest of things.

I like to call where I live the country. When we first moved here 12 years ago there was only 3 houses on our street and the rest was woods. It was so nice. Now I hate to say we have 5 more houses on our street and a walmart within 2 miles of us. Eek I miss the quiet. We used to have an owl that lived here that we claimed and a black snake that lived in the area by the chicken coop but they are both gone now. We even used to have deer come through but no more:(

We have a big elm in the front yarn that an Owl has claimed as his home.
Every year when Hubbie wraps Christmas lights around the tree the Owl comes out to see what's going on and scares Hubbie.
