Classic Aran AfghanI started making this afghan almost 2 years ago. It was originally an engagement gift, then it was a birthday gift, then a xmas gift, then a wedding gift. It's finally finished and has been mailed to the recipient. My aunt and new uncle :) Pattern is the Classic Aran Afghan from freepatterns.com I think. I used Caron Perfect Match in Taupe.

I had an afghan a couple of years ago that was made with squares and it took me forever. There were so many color changes in each square. I was so happy when it was done and given to the recipient.
It really makes a person feel good to finish a long project like this.

Wow...absolutely gorgeous!! That's similar to what my dh wants me to make for him. 'I want something without holes in it' is what I get from him all the time...geesh!!
