Crocheting School...I had ordered this book and Getting Started Crochet for my Step-Daughter..She's starting to Crochet. Got them for a" just because present".
The Getting Started Crochet~Has the basics for crochet and 26 projects. An Okay book..
The Crochet School~Sarts out with the tools-basics stitches -rounds-working squares- Tunisian-Net stitch-Edgings-Hairpin Lace, etc. Even has looms. I sat and looked at the book and their are things I've never seen about joining and the Tunisian that looks like knit...
It's a good book and I think it's going to stay with me...
Just because present~ felted crochet case with a set of hooks from G to P.
Getting started Crochet, Crochet School /or Crochet for Dummies (on order), Gauge Rule, Different stitch markers, and yarn needles..
I think that should get her started...

My almost 17 year old daughter wants me to teach her how to crochet. I've tried twice before to teach her and she's all thumbs.
I've looked online to see if it would help her to read instead of watching me but no luck.
Any suggestions?

lisa are you both the same handed, right or left> if nohold her thread and rht then that may be the problem, what i would do is sit her down and show her how to start wuth chains, then move on to sc when she is comfortable with chaining, she may not be ready yet if so then just dont; push it she will catch on when she is ready, thats what is so hard theywant to learn but they are just not ready. i wish i lived close i could show her
