Those are just so beautiful.
When I looked at the ruffles, it brought back to mind all of the times I had to iron and set in those ruffles for my Grandmother.
She did them up in something called bluing and they where
so startchy.
When I ironed them, it took a bit of doing, but it was so worth it when you where finished. They stood up it seemed forever, and pretty, now those ruffles were some beautiful pieces.

That cathedral doily is so pretty!
Lisa, I dream of having time to make every doily I see! Of course, some of those older patterns use some teeny thread. I really haven't worked with anything smaller than size 20.

I didn't do anything in thread for the longest time because I was afraid of size 10 thread...can't imagine using anything smaller.....
