Fat Bottom Bag Help Needed
I'm on row 4 of the S&B Happy Hooker Fat Bottom Bag and I'm not sure I understand the increases on rows 4 - 14.
Row 3 it has me place markers at the increase. I am to increase at the markers when I do row 4. But the directions from row 4 - 14 are the same and I'm not sure how to do this:
| Quote: | | Rows 4-14: Ch2,hhdc in eace st across to marked st, 2hhdc in next marked st, hhdc in eac of next 5 sts, 2hhdc in next marked st, hhdc in each remaining st across, turn -- 45 sts at end of Row 14. |
Now...I tried to follow row 3 direction and place the markers in the 2nd st of the first increase and the 1st st of the second increase but it wasn't turning out right.
So...in rows 4-14 where do I increase? Do I just follow the markers from row 3 for rows 4-14 and just kinda guess which stitch it should go in? Or what?

I've never made this bag...but I have heard that there is a correction for it somewhere because of a mistake.

Gina, hopefully Froggy will see this thread, she has made this pattern.
Maybe she can help on it.

my first question is how many stitches are in the 3rd row.
but from the information you gave, i would say for the 4th row when you come to the stich with the marker in increase in that one then move it up and do the same in the following rows until you get the right number of stitches.
I'm not sure if that helps you at all.

Hey!!!
Thanks to everyone who tried to help me! I had not seen that anyone had even replied to this. I don't know how I missed it! So sorry!
I got this thing figured out a couple of days after I posted. I can't remember what I did but it worked. :)
Thanks again to all.
I'm still trying to finish this bag. I finally found my handles and I got them sewed on tonight. I'm now working on embellishing it. I'll have a pic soon!
In case you missed it...I have a progress pic here.
