Felting help pleaseHi I am hoping some one can give me some felting help. I made a purse organizer that is to be felted. I did it in my washer with the jeans, little soap and hot water but it didn't felt up. I only did one cycle do you have to do it a lot longer? I did use wool yarn. Any help would be appreciated. Hugs:)

I have never felted anything, but I can remember that when
you put wool into HOT water and let it soak a little... then finish
out the wash it should felt and I think it will shrink some too.
I don't felt but it is my thoughts on how it might work. I have read
where some have to wash the piece more than once in warm to hot
water to get it to felt

Thanks Kathy. I will give it another go and see what happens.

YW, but keep in mind that I have never felted before,
it's just how I think it might work. I might try that this summer,
let me know how yours turns out and if it is easy enough to learn

You need to do it again...
I have a frontloader and a few times I had it in the wash cycle 6 or 7 times. After each wash cycle just check it. You don't need to change the water just set the timmer back to the beginning of the wash cycle..
