Grandma's Stuff From the 70'sHere are some pictures I came across that were in my grandma's crochet boxes. She passed away in 1974. She was in a nursing home and used to sell her items there and at a show or two. The peacock is her original pattern and I think I have it on notepad pages in her patterns.
I also came across her notebook of orders. She was selling these things for $5.00-$10.00 each!
Isn't this stuff amazing?

That is so awesome that you have those things.
My grandma was a wonderful crocheter, but there aren't many things left that she made.
Your grandma was one talented lady.

Thanks, everyone! I just had to share these with you.
I think the tail has crocheted circles and then sequins sewn on. She loved to make beaded doilies and dolls. I was only 13 I think, when she passed away. Although I was thinking I was much younger for some reason.

I never got to have any of my Grandmother's pretty crocheted doilly's.
(it was my aunt Katherine that did the crochet and gave them to my Grandmother..........she also did the hem stitching in all of the pillow cases that my Grandmother made and then did embroidry work on.......these two would sell them and split the money)
Back then they got around $8.00 a pair that they would split.
They put soooo much work into those.
I would have loved to had one of those pretty crochet doilly's my aunt Katherine made for my GrandMa.
I am not really sure where they wound up, but I would have loved
to have had just one of them.
Those are just beautiful Jodi, you will treasure those forever.
She was a very talented GrandMa....and that peacock is adorable!
