I've been eyeing Hass Designs for some time now. They are gorgeous! Just haven't felt like I could afford a class yet. I took one of the free ones, but didn't keep up with it. It's not the same.

They are very pretty. I need to finish up an afghan, but after that I would be open to doing a CAL. Anyone have a favorite design?

I like the 2003 Primavera Doily, but it would be in size 10 instead of 20
because it would be easier for those that are new to thread.
It's on the free patterns page.

I printed out the page!!
It's a chart though....kinda scary lookin'!!
It's a big plunge for me...especially seeing how I've only ever done 2 snowflakes!!!

What Lisa wrote....................except I did do one more thing besides doing two snowflakes. I did Maggies free pattern "Cross".
These were what I made and sent out in my first ornament swap last year

Chart filet is really pretty easy. It's all dc and chains. I'll put up a tutorial
on filet after I find it in my favorites.
The trick to the chart is odd numbers you count from right to left
and even numbers you count from left to right.
Anybody can give suggestions of one we do in a CAL.

Well, I started the chart to see if I could do it before I suggest a pattern for a CAl.
Found something interesting. He uses puff stitches in places, which I have never seen! Interesting
but different. I will do the row that has the puff to see how hard it is, then pass on what I found out.
I can't get on my PC to get to my favorites(thank son#1) right now for filet instructions.
Anyhoo, I'm still interested in a CAL. I may set one up for beginner threadies and a separate one for the more experienced. This is me just brainstorming, so
ANY ideas for a CAL are welcome!

Separate ones would be great I think Selena...... I would love to do a doily though,,,even if it's just a beginner one...know what I mean?

I am still working on ideas for a CAL. However, it is going to have to wait for a few weeks until I am done with the buffet scarf I am making. But, I haven't forgotten about this!

I'm still interested in a CAL, too. I need to finish up two gifts (both blankets) before I can take on anything else, but I'd love to give one of these doilies a try.
