Hello, fellow crochet maniacs and prayer intercessors! I am glad to have been named moderator of this topic. I was really pleased to not only have been led to this board but to find it includes a prayer request section. As a Christian for over 30 years, this is one reason I chose to join CM. It tells me I can mention my faith and even ask for prayer if I feel the need and not be censored, which I and others have experienced in other online groups. In the coming days I will catch up on reading your recent requests and be in prayer along with you. If you do need prayer, know that you are among kindred spirits here, and I trust 2008 will be a great year for each of us! Teri

Teri, thank you for stepping up and becoming mod! I love the fact that we can come here and not be afraid to ask for prayer or say that we are Christian. Awhile back I was in a group where I had my "wrists slapped" for saying I would pray for someone. Needless to say, I left the group. I am thankful that CM allows us the place to post prayer requests, it is most encouraging to know that someone is praying for and with you.

The Mania accepts you for who you are. I like that I can ask for support and get it when I need the prayers, advice, positive thoughts, and friendship. The members are always there for you. The power of prayer and faith can be felt here on a regular basis. I like the freedom this board gives each person to be and believe in their own way.

Ladies, thank you for the welcomes. I am glad to be able to do this. I feel badly because I wanted to get in here sooner and read/comment on some of the requests. I will do some this weekend, but I had a busy past few days at work (hard to get back into that after the holidays) and moving kind of slow. LOL. Now I need to give hubby a turn to be online for awhile. Am a nightowl, so be back later or in the wee small hours, LOL. Teri
