High School StuffHere's some items I've been making for my kid's high school booster club to sell. They've sold a few things already during registration day last week. They said the fingerless gloves and fuzzy and curly scarves went first. Now, I'm busy making more for the first football game. The gals are really excited to have some new things to sell. I'm also making a little money from it and so are they.
If this goes well, I'm thinking of approaching the other high schools in the area (there are 6 others here) for next year. That'll give me some time to make things up in their colors too.

That is a great idea, the kids love stuff like that.
The scarves are always a big hit and the fingerless gloves I have noticed are very popular this year.

Awesome!! I'm so far removed for High School, it's not funny!
I wouldn't have the foggiest idea what kids are into. Seems like you've got a couple of hot items going though!
Good luck with the other schools!

Congrats Jodi! I love the curly scarves! The gloves are hot for kids right now.
It's a great idea to do for the other schools too.

Thanks Everyone!
I've been wanting to sell some stuff at the games, but I was afraid of getting removed from them. They do everything to earn money for the school events and things and I wouldn't have been. I hope that people will want to see my other stuff and place orders.
I think it could catch on with the other schools too, down the road.
Tara - Since my boys both go to the same high school I went to, I have some ties there. I just approached the gals at the booth last spring and then I saw them again last week and took them what I had made up to test it. They are happy to have it. I may help them out with the selling at games too.

I've got an update for you on this venture.
It's going great! Every week after a home game the booster club has money for me! They are low on my inventory right now. Last week they sold 2 scarves, 2 fingerless gloves, 7 scrunchies (which some of the girls are wearing as wristlets), 2 hats and that left them with 2 scarves, 3 scrunchies and about 5 hats. They have sold a lot of things.
We won't have another home game until the playoffs in 3 weeks, hopefully, we're at home anyway.
To you that want to sell some of your stuff, contact the club at your local schools that handle the selling of clothing. It's really been worth it for me. Football season will probably be the best time to sell, but it is cold during basketball and wrestling too. I gave them prices of what I wanted, which were marked down from my normal pricing. Then they sold them for more. It really gets your stuff out there and it's so cool to see strangers wearing your handmade items.
