I am still kicking...

Hi everyone, I wanted to pop in and let you all know that I am OK
and to thank everyone for the many prayers and good thoughts you have sent my way.

And for the ecards and the letters. They mean so much they lift my spirits and make me feel lots better

I am better but far from being over whatever this is that has gotten my system so down and out of whack.

At my age I guess it will take me longer than I had hoped for to get back to my old self, but I am hanging in there.

We have found some black mold in our appartment so hubby and I went looking for somewhere to move to from here. We found a very nice place (mobile home on a large lot). We got our approval today. They said we could take all the month of august to get moved in then we can start our rent out on the first of september. That really does take a load off of us.

I wish you could have seen me hobbling along trying to look at the mobile homes. I did drain me a lot, but I did get some good exercise out of it.

Well, I guess I had better get into the kitchen and finish what all I need to eat while it is still early. I am trying to not eat past a certain time of day so I can get better sleep.

I miss being on here with you all everyday, I miss you all so much!

Oh yeah, if you have been trying to email me at kathy@crochetmaniacs.com and get a send back, it was just because my mail box was full. I got that emptied out just a little while ago so I can get my mail. It fills up fast (just holds 100 emails).

I am OK and I will try and pop in again soon. Thank you all so much for keeping the board running and active Miss you all a bunch

Oh yeah, I have lost some more weight your fearless leader is gonna be one sexy looking chick by Christmas

Love you all a bunch
Serena

How nice to read your post.  I'm so glad you're feeling better and that you all have found a place to live.  It sounds super.

More mail, real, and electronic, is headed your way!

Am sending you lots of good cheer and healthy thoughts.

I have been so worried .....  hey that mold can be bad stuff.

I have been in rough shape for the last wk, so I was hoping that meant you were feeling better. Take care and don't push too hard on the moving or the weight loss. Maybe you can give me some tips & encouragement with my weight loss after we both are on our feet better.

Keep getting better   you are missed very much.  hugs & love

I am glad to hear you are doing all right. That black mold might be what is making you feel bad, too. We had some in one house we lived in.  Not good. I'm glad you are able to get out of there.

Oh dear Kathy!  Is that what is making you so sick?  Iam glad you are able to get another place to live.  Maybe you can get better quicker- it all sounds so weird, but our bodies just keep telling us until we listen!  Love and hugs!

I have not ment to neglect you. I have been working overtime. I hope you are feeling better. they say that mold can make you very sick with odd ailments. Hope you have begun to recover from the medication reaction. Hope the blood pressure is better. Get rest during the move.Get well!!!!!
TX CrochetLover

Maxine, don't you over work yourself either!!  That overtime, if you get paid extra isn't too bad, but boy do you pay for it by being tired!
anoramaxsis

txcl I know but I had a bad auto accident in January. That is how I found you wonderful folks. I have a car to pay for and well life goes on. I just have less time for needlework. The place I work goes in spirts. I imagine the overtime will stop soon. Thanks for caring.

Maxine, that is what I like about this board, it is small enough to get to know more about each member and support them, and connect on a friendship basis, not just as a forum poster!
Serena

Anoramaxsis,  I'm sorry about the accident.  I hope you're well and can enjoy doing what you like to do now.

TXCL,  I agree about CM.  Small and friendly is very nice.

Thank you all

I am still getting over this mess, but I seem to be doing a little better each week. The doctor said that it was just gonna take some time to get back to feeling my normal self again. He said it will take some time for my body to heal. This is when I wish I was in my 20's again, then I would heal much faster than this old 57 year old body can

Thank you all for the get well wishes this old woman is gonna be
just as spunky and sassy as always soon you just watch me
Serena

I'm so glad you're feeling better.  It's great to have you post when you can.

TX CrochetLover

gets back to normal.

anoramaxsis

Glad things are getting better.
Kahud48

Thank you to all of you, I am getting there, slowly but surely.
Maxine, I agree with txcl, don't you overdo
Thank you for the nice card

Kathy It is nascar weekend here at the motorspeedway. I always take the race weekends off because the traffic is so bad. The first year I was 31/2 hours late for work. So.....I am taking 6 days off. I plan to crochet and knit.
TX CrochetLover

Good for you Maxine!  Have a great week just doing what you want to do!
Kahud48

Ditto on what Selena said.

What race track is it Maxine? I use to be a Nascar Nut back when Dale
was racing. After he died I kind off lost interest, I just stopped watching Nascar altogether.
I would have loved to have went to a race, that would have been so much fun!
anoramaxsis

I live 18 miles south of the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Tuesday when I went to work they were filling up the RV site in front of the raceway.Wednesday they were putting up the red barrels. Thursday all of the big rigs were getting into town. (the nascar bright colored ones.). Yesterday when we went into griffin for groceries the traffic was just nerve wracking. We did everything yesterday so we will stay home until Tuesday. The state patrol has a major sub-station here and the state patrol does all of the traffic management and plenty of people will be arrested.
Kahud48

WOW, I bet that is a traffic nightmare! We ran a motel on the beach
back in the late 70's, early 80's. How well I can remember the race week.
We always had a full house and when the motorcycles were in town, they even rented
parking lot space and slept outside under the moon,

We were about 12 miles north of Ormand Beach and Daytona.
anoramaxsis

the people who live here stay home on race weekend. Thay had sold 17,000 seats and were still selling them on friday. Thay had thousands of RV's in the front of the raceway on Thursday night. I have been enjoying my time to crochet. I have made one potholder and two dishcloths to put in my sisters box which I mail tuesday.
TX CrochetLover

That isan unbelievable influx of people in one area! The gradual build up of traffic, then I bet when the race is over, all of them trying to get out at the same time is a nightmare!
anoramaxsis

It is a major nightmare. That is why I take race weekends off. I stay at home and crochet.
