I usually try to drop in on Smiley's often to see what kind of sales they have, as they tend to rotate often. It's not like I actually NEED more yarn . . . but if it's on sale???

Paton's Carmen is on Blow Out Sale until 5/31/07.

I absolutely adore this yarn, but it's so darn expensive for such a small skein. I caved at $0.99/skein & went overboard!!

I ordered 5 different colors (Rose, Stone, Ebony, Ivory, & Wine).

My goal is to EVENTUALLY make a log cabin style (knit probably) afghan with it, and maybe a few scarves for gifts. . .

I also ordered a few packs of bobbins for the time sucking graphgahn I'm working on & 4 skeins of Bernat Coordinates in Aqua/Pink.

Yep - it's official . . . I have lost my mind.

My order showed up yesterday.

I now have a fairly large sized box full of Paton's Carmen waiting patiently for me. (A lot more than I guess I realized I was ordering).

It does look soooo soft. When I saw that a couple of days
ago at Smiley's, I was tempted (been a good girl, thus far).

What kind of things do you make with that texture and or
weight of yarn?

I am still thinking on it --- I might give in yet

Well, I'm not so sure I'll use it to crochet with. If I did crochet with it, I'd probably pair it up witn another yarn so I could see the stitches.

I planning to make a (knit) log cabin style afghan with most of it.

Probably scarves or pillows for gifts & maybe a knit stuffed teddy bear if I have enough left.
