Linda's Kitty Cat Is Passing AwayI just recieved a PM and an IM from Linda.
Here is the e-mail from her:
I am not doing well. My cat is dying of kidney failure. He is going to have to be put to sleep.
You may not be hearing from me for awhile. I don't know how I am going to handle this!!!!!!!!!!!

She is really depressed right now is so profoundly depressed!
She really needs all of our prayers right now to see her through this hurtful sad time for her.
Keep her in your prayers right now, she sure does need them all
to get through this.

I do know how much it hurts Linda. I lost my wonderfully speciall kitty cat after 14 years. It's a terrible hurt but he/she will live on in your heart forever!!

I lost my 18 year old Kitty Chiggers 2 years ago. I know it hurts.
My Oso has hip problems and he can not get up by himself. So I know that time is getting short for him,too. Getting hard for me to get him up cos he weight about as much as I do..
Hope you start to feel better.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

You are in my prayers. Working at an animal ER, we see alot of this. Just remember that it is such a privilege to be able to "put an animal to sleep". We get to put them out of their pain and suffering so they can cross the Rainbow Bridge and watch over us. They will always be in our hearts and chose YOU to spend their life with.
I will hope for strength for you and your family at this difficult time.

Linda, I am so sorry you have to go through this. I know when I had to have one of our dogs put down it was the toughest decision I ever had to make.

I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty. I have always had dogs and have been through this type of thing too many times.

Please take care of yourself. I know when I'm feeling down, my mania friends are always there for support. They also make me laugh, even when it hurts to laugh.
Your kitty isn't suffering anymore. He's playing and running around, happy and purring. He does not want you to mourn his passing, he wants you to be thankful for the time you had with him.

Linda, I am very sorry for your loss. I can empathize somewhat since I have 4 large doggies that I love very much. The one I am the most attached to is 10 now, and is a giant breed so it is likely I may only have her 2 more years. I don't know how I will function when the time comes; I love her SO much.
