My Mango Mama sweater vest

This is a sweater vest I just completed in mango microspun. I call it my mango mama vest lol. The pattern is the Flirty top here http://www.coatsandclark.com/fun_and_free/crochet_thread/lc1406.htm done in thread. I liked the stitch & thought it would make a pretty vest over a tee for spring/summer.

It is a very easy pattern & works up quickly.

Very nice. I love the color! I've got to try that Microspun yarn. It looks like it works up really nicely.

that is awesome. such a nice springy top and will work well into summer too, i love microspun yarn, does anyone know what it is really made of. my boss told me(she knows her yarn believe me) that it is made with recycled plasic pop bottles. now when ya by that yarn , not only will you love working with it as its so soft, but you will be helping the enviroment too. hugggggs to you all
Roli

Wow, that really turned out nice! Your adaptation from a sweater to a vest is perfect. Nice trendy color too. :)

Thanks for the compliments. I hope I can make another in a diff color soon. It was so easy to keep track of stitches & went fast!

sallenlouise, if you make one I can't wait to see it! I just followed the pattern & left off the sleeve section of the pattern.

I think it will be nice this summer over a tank or camisole too.

mythunderbird, that is really wild that they can make yarn from plastic! I may have to research it to see if it's true. Nice to think we may be recycling when we use it! It splits but with my bamboo hook or SB hooks, I don't have much problem with it.
