F hook
3 ply yarn
6 dc = 1 inch

Preemie Hat
Chain 4 and make ring.

Round 1 ch. 2, (not a dc) 12 dc in ring, join to 1st dc. (12dc)
Round 2 ch. 2, 2 dc in each dc around, join to 1st dc. (24 dc)
Round 3 ch. 2, dc in same stitch as chain 2, 2 dc in next dc, *dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc. Repeat * around, join to 1st dc. (36 dc)
Rounds 4 to 8 ch 2, dc in each dc around. (36 dc)
Round 9 ch 1, hdc in each dc around, join to 1st dc, fasten off and weave in ends.

Had this tried on actualy preemies and she said they fit perfectly.

some of these little hats to donate here to our hospital

Yes, I think I will get hubby to bring me home some yarn
this evening and get started on making these tonight.
