My Thimbles..Since the Mania  struck and I had my camera out thought I would take a pic of my collection..
The Disney one aren't really thimbles( though they say they are) I took a pic of them, too.
  
I filled up the other cases so I'm starting on a new one.

Wow, that's a lot of thimbles. What made you start to collect them?
I almost thought you didn't have room for even one more then I saw your last pic....phew!! lol

My Grandmother asked us girls (her granddaughters) what we wanted to collect. Gramma had over 900 pair of salt and pepper shakers.. Might have reached 1000 before she died. 
I had seen a pretty thimble and said that I wanted to collect thimbles..
So, that's how it started and now I have them from all over, even England.

They are so cute! I always see them in the tourist-y shops here and think I should start collecting those... (but then I'd have to get a shelf to put them in..)

I don't have a collection, unless you count yarn! LOL Dh collects Bibles. He always wants to have one on hand to give to someone just in case they don't have one. We have never had any room for me to collect anything but I think a thimble collection might be nice. I never had an urge to collect anything until I saw your thimble collection!
Wait...we've been collecting the Pixar cars from the movie Cars. That has been fun...but it's more for my son. However, I get a thrill every time we find one to buy that we don't have.
I'm a pack rat...it could be dangerous if I start a real collection of something.

Oh wow! what a collection! One of my friends is a shot glass collector, she has them from all over the place. I don't really collect anything, except I do have a small Christmas snow globe collection. I try to buy a new one every year.

I've got some shot glasses, too.
I have a collection of Santa Claus's, but only put them out for Christmas.
 I like those too.

That's a great collection! My sister collects thimbles too, but she has them in storage right now. I'm sure she'll bring them out again when she gets moved into her other house. It's quite a bit bigger than the one she's in right now.

That is some collection of thimbles I like it when someone I know has a collection then it is easy to add to it.
