Need help with Lacy Sun Hey y'all. I'm trying to stitch the Lacy Sun square from Dayna's Crochet web site. :smt100 Does anyone know if there are any mistakes in the pattern? I'm wondering specifically about round 5 when it gets to "3 hdc in next ch 1". Up to this point you haven't stitched in a chain one sp. only in next sc. Do you think she meant to say 3 hdc in next sc, ch 1.
Next question is in round 9: when it says 6 times...do I stitch what is in the (parenthesis only) 6 times, then further along it says 3 times...does the 3 times refer to all that is in the [brackets 3 times]. (Note: I do understand the *to* part) and this same question would apply to the language in round 10.
I sure hope I don't sound stupid. I'm just finding it a bit confusing I'm a self-taught crocheter and I've been crocheting for maybe 15 years but strictly as a novice, with a capital N. I still struggle with pattern language. My favorite item to crochet is a giant granny square, LOL. I'm all about the double crochet, LOL! :smt045

Yes, you are supossed to do 3 hdc then chain 1.

*ch 2, skip 4 sc, 3 dc in next sc 6 times, ch 2*....yes you do that 6 times, then you chanin 2, then you do the corner....you do all of the 3 times, then you do the *ch 2............. 6 times, ch 2* again, then the finish off that round by joining.

You don't sound stupid at all. This was kind of hard for me to figure out at first but after frogging it a few times I caught on. I hope this helps. If it doesn't please let me know and I'll try again :D

Here's my square:
The top left corner seems odd to me. I counted several times and it's right but still doesn't look right. Ya think I goofed somewhere along the way? Sorry for the lame picture. I had to use my phone camera.
