No-button Ruffled Towel Topper..Found the towels at HEB (grocery store).

How do you get your hook thru the cloth just poke some holes with something?

First I sew over the end that I cut, then put a large sewing needle though or a thread hook, then the hook that I'm using..
That part takes the longest...

I love making these. I made several last year for gifts.
I used to poke the hook through the towel, but that caused major damage to me fingers.
I "cheated" last year. I made an embroidery chain and hooked through the loops. I worked a lot better that way. You just have to make sure your embroidery chain isn't too tight.
