Michael's had this on sale yesterday at 2 skeins for $5. Reg. price: $3.99.

Weight: 5 ounces
Worsted, medium, size 4. I-hook. (Knitting, size 8, 5mm.)
Fiber content: acrylic

It is soft. I usually avoid Red Heart, but happened to see the word "Soft" on a label.

It doesn't split.

It's softer than Vanna's Choice.

Will report on color after I've washed it. Am making a man's scarf.

First impression is very good.

I've actually used this with the Caron simply soft. They are very similar. These are what I like for baby afghans. I've not had any trouble with either of them after washing.
