I had seen Options needles at Knitpicks. Read about them and needed some long cables for a shawl I'm going to make.
SO, I ordered the 40" lenght and size 6 needles.. Boy, what a difference. I have the Needlemaster and never did like them to much but used them.. The yarn had to be pushed over the joints.( where the cable and needle meet)
The Option needles the points are sharper and the yarn just slides over them.. The cables are thiner then the needlemaster..
But, so far I :smt007 them..
I now have 32" cable and size 7 & 8 needles for a sweater..Going for the whole set little-by-little...

Those look wonderful :mrgreen: , but I don't think I will ever get them :cry:

Ohhh, I've head LOTS of good things about these needles. I have the Needlemaster set too & have the same issues.

In fact, I'm using them on the Simply Soft Shadows Shrug (say that 3x's fast. . . ) and I've noticed when you tighten the cable it flares out the bottom of the needle, which is why the yarn is snagging at the joint. Leave the cable too loose, and they fall about - dropping all your stitches.

Looks like I'm going to have to put these on my Christmas Wishlist, as I've been on the fence for a while about these!

I switch the sweater I'm working on to the Options, And it was not just a noticeable difference it was like WOW!!! I like these..

It's good to hear some kind of feedback on the needles! I've been wanting to get a set.

I just put in an order at Knitpicks and added the size 15 and 17..
Now I have the complete set.....

I'm so jealous!! I was just telling DH the other night I might have to get me a set of these. I ordered 2 pairs of size 0 & 2 for socks & I'm just in love with them. They're so light and sharp. Not to mention . . . FAST!

I've finally found a pattern for my Sea Silk, and it looks like I'm going to need either a size 6 or 7 (depends on gauge, as I'm using a lighter weight yarn). It's lace, so I'm definitely going to need pointy needles.

Sounds like a good reason for a new set to me, right??

Well, I did it. I just got my confirmation email for my order. Now I just need to sit back and wait for it to show up.

I think I might've lost my mind though . . .

Along with my KnitPicks Option Needles, I ordered 2 skeins of Bare in the fingering weight 70% wool/30% silk & the starter dye package.

Just what I need . . . another hobby!

I just fell in love with the hand painted sock yarn I bought from Etsy though, and just couldn't resist giving it a whirl myself.
