Pineapple Doily Finally Finished!I started this Pineapple Doily http://www.angelfire.com/folk/celtwich/LargePine.htmlover two years ago! I started it out using the incorrect size of thread. I just didn't know enough at the time to realize how much difference the size would make. Now, of course, lesson learned and all that. This monster is 28 inches across with size 10 thread. It was supposed to be 18 inches across using a size 30 thread. I finally decided it was time to get it done. So here is the two year doily!

It is beautiful!! Aren't you glad it's finished? I have a BMC (Between Meals Centerpiece) that is over two years old and I don't think it will EVER be done.... Anyway great job!

Wow Selena, that is beautiful!
I have made some thread things but nothing that pretty. You did a great job with this one, even if it did take you two years, at least that was better than most of my thread projects. I would just frog the most of them and put the thread away for another day. Me and thread just don't get along to well. |
