I'll keep them in my thoughts.
I've seen first hand what a tragedy like this can do to a family. Many years ago, one of my closest friends lost her 30 yo brother to a similar accident. He was on his lunch break from working at the post office. Some guys in a truck were driving 100 mph+ running from a police car after stealing a 6 pack of beer from a store. They ran a stop sign, hit the brother in the driver's door and killed him instantly. Their family was torn apart in all kinds of ways. It's very sad. All for a beer!!!
It still makes me mad and sad to think about it.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. This type of thing is in the local news here all too often, and the reason so often seems to be due to drinking and driving. You would think people would learn but they never do. It gets tricky enough driving and watching out for yourself but then you have to watch out for the carelessness of others, and then things like this still happen that you have no control over. My heart goes out to the family. Having this happen Christmas Eve just compounds the pain. Teri
