My husband will be going into the hosptal on Tuesday July 24 for elective surgery. He is having a Gastric Bypass done. He is so ready for this! I am a nervous WRECK! Why does it seem to be harder on those who love the person having surgey done?!? Please pray for my husband and all the good thoughts you can think.

ps. If anyone who has had it done or knows someone who has had it done and things went bad PLEASE do not tell me.

I know it's always hard for the people not going into surgery. We are the ones that have to wait around while the person in surgery is "sleeping."

Praying for you and your husband Pam. Everyone I have ever heard have it did just fine and it's so much better for your health to get it done. I am sure after he heals and starts losing that he will feel so much better. You hang in there girl. Hugs:)

The lady that lives across the street had it done and no problems at all.. She lost so much weight!! She is looking so good now.. At first I did notice any differents. It was a while ,but she like her fast food.. But the last 4 months she lost a lot..

I've never heard of any bad stories...all I've ever seen were the very successful ones.

You all are such great encouragement! Thanks for all the friendship and sisterhood. You all make things a lot easier when we stick together and encourage each other. Lord knows I am gonna need all I can get next week on Tuesday and during my husbands recovery time.

pam sweetie, hon you know you have prayers for you both. my uncle had that done and while it took a while he lost tons of weight and feels sooo much better, he went from 380 pounds down to a trim 195, (he is 6 foot tall) and while he had some changes to make it was so worth it, i have not heard any bad things at all now for a prayer, Lord i lift pam and her husband up to you dear jesus that you will be with them in their hour of need. Lord give both Pam and her husband the courage that they will need to go forward in this time of healing, in jesus name we ask that you heal pam's husband after the surgery, give them both the comfort they need, in jesus name i lift them both unto you, praise the lord amen
