Hi Everyone, We just found out today that a slow growing tumor on my
husbands lung is cancerous after the doctor kept telling him not to worry
whatever it was would NOT be cancerous!! Well it is and he has to have
surgery soon and of course we are all nervous about this. To add insult
to Injury there was an article in todays paper that Pratt & Whitney is
thinking of eliminating two branches, one of which my husband works and
they are going to lay off at least 1000 people in Connecticut!! He has
worked there for 38 years and is now 62 years old!! He will never find
another job at his age and there are four of us living and none of us
are working!!! On top of that he won't have insurance once he is laid
off and everything is a mess right now. I know there is a reason for
everything and that somehow we will make it through, but....I have to
admit I am really scared right now. Please pray for us.

Joanne my prayers are with you honey for your husband and you. I know sometimes it pours instead of just rains. Keep the faith. I know sometimes its hard to do so. I believe like you and know that there is a reason and a plan for everything. God bless you honey and know that I am thinking of you and praying.

Joanne, I am sorry to hear about DH. If they can get him into surgery soon, he can fight it all the more. I will pray for him.
If he gets laid off, they will have to give him a pretty good package, so you will have a little breathing room. Cobra insurance, while still expensive is more affordable with the government subsidy. Ours went from over $1500 a month to just over $300.00 for our family of four. And the subsidy lasts I think a year.
I know you are probably really freaked out and scared and overwhelmed and crying and angry and alone. You have had it really rough lately. Hang in there. We will listen and send support and love to you and pray for you all. Sending you one big HUG!
