We have a very bad situation here at our house. On the 12th of this month a friend of ours came to visit. When he got out of his truck the neighbors pitbull bit him. We called the county sheriff, they came out and took a report and told the neighbor to keep the dogs in his yard and on a chain. On the 13th my kids (daughter 8 yrs old and son 3 yrs old) were inside the house looking out the front door, when the neighbor who owns the dogs exposed himself to both kids ( every part of his genitals was clearly visalbe and he touched it). My husband and I went to look at what they were looking at and saw this happen. I called the police again and they came out and asked the kids what happend and then went and talked to him. He of course said he did not do it. Since then he has been sicking his dogs on us and curseing at us every time we walk out side. The case has been sent to the prosecuting attorney but nothing has been done. He is allowed to torment us daily. My DD is scared to come home, she is staying with my parents. She says he will do something else to us. She will not sleep alone and must have someone near her at all times. This is affecting her school work and her life in generall. PLEASE pray for her to come through this and be stronger for it. Also, please pray for the neighbor, he needs Gods touch in his life. I am just lost in all of this. She is just to little to have to go through this. Thank you for reading my long ramblings.

That is just terrible to hear. I am sending prayers.

Be careful, and use the buddy system when you go out. If those dogs came in my yard, and I felt threatened, I would use some buckshot on them.

This is terrible. I will pray for strength for you, your daughter, your family, all involved. I'll pray for a solution and I'll pray that your neighbor will see his wrongdoing. I will also pray for the dogs to realize that they dont' have to be so terrible.

No one should have to live in fear while they are in their own home, no matter how old or young!

That is just wrong and stupid.
Sending prayers and some for your neighbor that maybe he will grow up!!

We have a neighbor that lets his dog run loose and he likes our yard to do his duty.
I got one of those tin piggy banks and put some change in it, When I'm outside I just shake the can after a while all I had to do is show the can and he would run.. That's the way I trained my furbabies, too.

I am sad that things like this happen. Your neighbor needs some help and I pray that he gets it.
I will also pray that this is resolved quickly so your family feels safe once a gain.

I want to thank you all for the prayers. I am hoping for the law enforcement community to do something with the situation. I am tired of being a prisoner in my own home. My daughter is trying to call everyone she knows to find someone to go play with or spend the night with. It makes me so sad that she is going through this. I just want to say thank you for the thoughts and prayers.

have you gotten a restraining order against him, make sure you ALWAYS have you phone handy, get and use pepper spray if you need to, you would have every right to protect yourself against this pervert. what is wrong with the world where 2 little kids can not even play outside. make sure she knows you are NOT blaming her. sometimes children feel rsponsible when something happens and its sooooo not their faultand i would hound the policeuntil they do something same with the prosicutting attorney, honey if you EVER need to talk we are here for you. you all are in my prayers sweetie

I hate to hear this Janeen, you and your family are in a dangerous situation.

I am a good Christian (I try to be) but I would not hesitate to drop that dog in a Kentucky minute with a shot gun! And yes, the man does need our prayers, but don't you dare let him get the edge on you. You stay extremely careful at all times and you let him know that you have nothing to fear from him.
They can arrest him if he does that again, just take a pic if you can.

I will pray for you and the kids and for the man. But don't you hesitate to drop that dog if he comes at anyone of you again, that is well within your rights hun to protect you and your family.
A dog like that can kill a youngin, and they can do some real damage to a grown up. DON"T HESITATE WHEN IT COMES TO THAT DOG!!

Hey hun, Just remembered that I forgot this suggestion.

Document EVERYTHING, as soon as it happens: write it down, take pictures, what ever you can to just so you have a record with dates and actions. Always call the police if he does something threatening, that way they have a record of it too, and write down who you talked to and what time the call was and the outcome as well.

And, yes, do not be afraid to defend your family.

Thank you all for your prayers. We were granted a restraining order toady, hope it will stop the nonsense. On Sunday my daughter was playing at a friends house around the corner from us, he saw she was up there and went up to see if he could get her to come to him or talk to him. The father and older brother of her friends were right there and they made him leave and called us. This has to end. I am so tired, but I will keep going until he is behind bars where he can not hurt anyone else.

I am so sorry you're having to go through this. It's bad enough when kids have to deal with other kids that are bullies . . . but an adult acting this way is just beyond words.

Thank heavens you got a restraining order. I just hope ya'll can resolve this in a peaceful manner very soon.

i'm so glad you were able to get that restraining order, but it scares me this man has approached your children again, i agree with the others do not hesitate to defend them or yourself. we are here when you need us for moral support. hang in there my friend
