Prayers on fingers....Ran across this today. I had heard it as a child, but didn't know anyone who used it, and so didn't take up the practice. I think it's a sweet way to remember.
The Five Fingers of Prayer.
1. The thumb is nearest to us. Praying for those closest. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once said, a "sweet duty."
2. The pointing/index finger. Prayers for those who teach, instruct, and heal.
3. The middle finger is the tallest finger. Prayers for the President, leaders in business and industry, those in the military, and all others who put themselves at risk to serve others.
4. The ring finger is the weakest, as any piano teacher will testify. Reminding us of those who are vulnerable, in great need, or in pain.
5. Lastly, the little finger, reminding us to pray for ourselves.

Oh I like this, thanks for posting it Serena.
Everyone should do daily devotion and prayers.
Sometimes I can't remember all that have ask me to say a prayer for them that day
(I remember the person, but sometimes not all of the details of their needs),
so I just ask God to keep those who need him that day in His Hands,
and to guide them in the direction of His Love.
Comfort them and please see to their needs.

KH, I find that, too.
I'm glad you like it. I edited it a bit, to take out the "do this and don't do that" commentary, and make it friendlier.
If I hold my finger as I pray, it helps me to come back to what I'm doing when I get to thinking about this, that, and the other.
I like having helps to remember things. I'm finding that I appreciate "helps" to make it easier to keep track.
