Hi I am really having a time with my asthma. I just am getting over bronchitis, double ear infections and sinus infection. But my asthma is still giving me total fits. It's almost 4 weeks now and I am getting worn out. I am still working Fri, Sat and Sun nights and homeschool during the week days. I really need to keep up with my schedule but it's getting harder. Please say a prayer for me. Thanks and hugs:)

You are in my prayers too Peggy, I know how that asthma
can be. My oldest was a severe asthmatic until he got grown,
we lived at the hospital it seemed.

Do you like apple juice? That always seemed to help him some.
It helps the body to produce new thin mucos, that helps your
lungs to become a little more relaxed and able to cough loose
that old mucos, that always comes with bronchitis and asthma

Thanks Kathy I will try the apple juice. I didn't know that it would help. Thank goodness yours don't have it anymore. I have had it since I was 35, never as a child. Thanks and hugs:)

Have you tried Mucinex? Anytime I feel my chest starting to tighten up I start to take them to help break it up..

I have COPD and taking 2 meds though a nebulizer twice a day, steroids and a fast acting inhaler. I know what it is like to get tired out just by breathing..

Hi sweetie. Yes I have tried mucinex and it works great. My main trouble is chest tightness and cough. I am on my last day of prednisone and that usually knocks it out but this time may be a week wasn't enough. I have duoneb for my neb treatment and am using it at least 4 times a day. I started Asmanex and some sinus/allergy meds.

Yea, I do the DouNeb,too. I do it twice a day unless I need it more often then I go to 4 times a day.. I have been using the Combivent inhale every 4 hours lately.. Taking Zyrtec or Flonase everyday with the cedar being so high. I hate cedar fever!!!!

Eek I don't know what I am allergic to besides oak. I live in Florida so knowing my luck it's pine too. We are covered in it. I know I always have trouble from October until May. The cold closes me up really bad.

Peggy, sorry to hear of your difficulty. I never knew people got asthma as adults. But this is the second time I have now heard someone talk about it. Hang in there, sending prayers your way.
